Looking for the perfect 4 days itinerary in North Morocco? This route offers a laid-back yet rich travel experience through some of the region’s most beautiful and culturally vibrant cities. So recently, I decided to do a 4-day road trip starting from Tangier, visiting Tétouan and Chefchaouen. And let me tell you if you only have a few days in Morocco, this route is perfect for you.
Day 1: Arriving in Tangier – Coastal Vibes & Kasbah Magic
My flight landed at Tangier Ibn Battuta Airport, which is calm and well-organized, no stress. You can either grab a taxi, (make sure to agree on the price first), a bus, or book with a trusted driver (Mory can arrange that), and headed straight to the apartment I rented.
Tangier surprised me. It’s modern, artistic, and full of history. I spent the afternoon exploring the medina, wandered through the Kasbah Museum, and watched the sunset from a rooftop café with views over the sea and Spain in the distance.

Day 2: Day Trip to Tétouan – A Hidden Gem
The next morning, I took a day trip to Tétouan, about an hour and a half from Tangier. The medina is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and still feels untouched by mass tourism. I wandered its narrow alleys, admired the Andalusian architecture, and tried some street food at the souk. It’s a small city, but full of character. I returned to Tangier in the evening, just in time for a sunset walk along the Corniche.

Day 3: 4 Days Itinerary in North Morocco – Off to Chefchaouen The Blue Pearl
Early in the morning, I left Tangier and drove to Chefchaouen about 2.5 hours through the Rif Mountains. This town is pure magic. The shades of blue, the peaceful atmosphere, the local shops everything slows you down. I climbed to the Spanish Mosque for panoramic views, wandered through the blue alleys. I stayed the night in a private property just inside the medina quiet, cozy, and super welcoming.

Day 4: Departure – Back to Tangier
After breakfast, I left Chefchaouen and drove back to Tangier Airport for my flight. The drive through the mountains was a peaceful way to wrap up the trip, olive groves, rolling hills, and little roadside cafés all along the way.
Why I Loved This Route
This 4 days itinerary in North Morocco gave me everything: city life, culture, nature, and calm. No long drives, no stress just pure discovery. If you’re someone who doesn’t want to rush from Marrakech to Merzouga in 2 days, this is the perfect alternative.
